stainless steel
LUAMAYA’s main range consists of stainless steel.
If you buy our jewelry in the color "silver", you will receive 316L stainless steel, without finishing.
Our pieces of jewelry in the colors "gold" and "rose gold" are further processed and, after production is complete, are refined with an alloy. We work with 14-carat gold plating or rose gold plating.
HYPOALLERGEN
The 316L stainless steel we use, also known as surgical steel, only contains bound nickel ions, which is why it is considered hypoallergenic. This means that even allergy sufferers and people with sensitive skin can wear our pieces.
WATERPROOF
Stainless steel is the perfect choice to guarantee long-lasting enjoyment, as the composition of stainless steel is corrosion-resistant, meaning it does not rust and is waterproof. So you can leave your Luamaya Pieces on while you shower without any problems.
DURABLE
Compared to other metals such as sterling silver, stainless steel is much more solid, which guarantees greater durability in everyday life. No bending, no breaking!
RECYCLABLE
Stainless steel is very easy to recycle. So if your piece of jewelry ever becomes obsolete, the material can easily be recycled without any loss of quality or value!
CARE RECOMMENDATIONS
Good news: Stainless steel is a very robust material to which alloys adhere very well, so you can keep your jewelry on when you shower without any problem. However, we recommend avoiding contact with chlorine or salt water to ensure that you can enjoy your jewelry for as long as possible. You can easily clean your pieces with a mild soap or warm water. The only important thing is that you then dry your jewelry completely with a soft cloth before putting it in your jewelry box.*
Sterling silver
In addition to our main range, we also offer selected products made of sterling silver in our Luamaya Fine Line.
The production of jewelry based on silver also offers a number of advantages: it is particularly well tolerated, can be processed particularly delicately and precisely, is easy to recycle and is also relatively affordable compared to other precious metals. Here, too, we use a 14-carat alloy.
NICKEL-FREE
Silver is nickel-free and is therefore perfect for allergy sufferers.

Silver is a soft and malleable metal, which has the advantage that it can be processed with great detail and filigree. This allows for a particularly wide variety of individual designs, which is why silver jewelry is characterized by its elegant and timeless charm.

CARE RECOMMENDATIONS

To keep your silver jewelry in good condition, we recommend that you polish it regularly with a soft, non-abrasive cloth. To prevent oxidation, you should also store your jewelry in a dry and airtight place. Also avoid contact with chemicals and contacts that cause scratches.*
Gold-plated silver jewelry
- Gold-plated jewelry should be protected from excessive contact with water and moisture. Therefore, remove it before showering, swimming or using cleaning products. To preserve the gold plating, rub the jewelry gently with a soft cloth and avoid using chemicals or aggressive cleaning products.*
*In general, it is recommended to take off jewelry when exercising, sleeping or doing other activities where it could be accidentally damaged. It is best to store your jewelry in a jewelry box or soft bag during these activities to avoid scratches and the accumulation of dust. It is also important for the longevity of your pieces to avoid direct contact with body lotion, hairspray or perfume.
